You can then transfer your idea directly onto the bag using fabric markers. It is best to work calmly and place parchment paper between the layers of fabric so that the paint does not bleed through to the back. Let the colors dry briefly in between so that nothing smudges. Depending on your preference, you can keep the design simple or add small details.

To ensure the colors are permanent, fixation is important: either let the bag air-dry for at least 3 days or, after a drying time of about 6 hours, fix it in a preheated oven at 150 °C for 8 minutes. Alternatively, you can cover the fabric with parchment paper and fix it with an iron on the cotton setting for 5 minutes.

After fixation, the bag is washable up to 60 °C.
