Sustainable Christmas classic
This felt wreath is not only durable but also versatile: you can redecorate it every year with new colors, materials, and decorative elements. A modern statement piece for the Advent season: stylish, creative, and sustainably beautiful.
Step-by-step instructions
Step 1
Take an A4 sheet of felt and fold it twice, so you have about three layers on top of each other. Then, cut leaf shapes out of all layers to save time and get multiple leaves at once.
Step 2
Now, give the leaves some structure: Place a small dab of hot glue on the bottom tip of the leaf. Press the tip together slightly so that the leaf arches a little in the middle. Be careful—hot glue is very hot; use a ruler or a similar object to press it down.
Step 3
Start at the outer edge of the wreath and glue the leaves on. Arrange them slightly overlapping so that no Styrofoam remains visible later. Work your way all around until the wreath is completely covered.
Step 4
Now comes the creative part! Decorate your wreath to your heart's content with ornaments like bows, cinnamon sticks, dried orange slices, small pinecones, or stars. You can attach the decorations with hot glue.
Step 5
Attach a wire hanger or a ribbon to the back of the wreath so you can easily hang it up. Your festive, handmade Christmas wreath is finished!
