Loving handmade work for gifting
This small DIY project is full of heart. Two simple heart-shaped felt pieces are sewn together with a few stitches, transforming into a personal gift for someone special.
Creative time-out with meaning
Sewing the felt hearts is calm, relaxing, and gives you space to switch off. Stitch by stitch, you create something personal that expresses appreciation. A small project with a big impact, perfect for Valentine's Day.
Step-by-step instructions
Step 1
Take any piece of paper and fold it in half. Cut out the shape of half a heart along the fold. When you unfold the paper, you get a perfectly symmetrical heart.
Step 2
Place the heart template on the felt and trace it with a fine-liner.
Step 3
Fold the felt in half and place the template on top so that you get two hearts of the same size. If necessary, secure the paper template with a pin to prevent it from slipping.
Step 4
Cut a piece of thread - it's better to make it a bit too long than too short. Start at the bottom of the heart tip and sew the two pieces of felt together along the edge. Leave a small opening to stuff the heart with batting. Then sew it completely shut and secure the thread with a knot.
Step 5
Attach the lobster clasp to the felt heart – and your loving DIY charm is ready to be gifted!
