DIY Mice Ski Club

There's nothing better than crafting afternoons together during the darker months of the year. This craft guide is all about upcycling. From useless paper rolls and some paint, along with craft sticks, adorable ski mice are created. They are simple to assemble and ideal for children to craft – but adults are guaranteed to have fun too!

These sporty cardboard mice are not only heartwarming and adorable decorative pieces but also great for playing with and chasing away boredom. With a board or a piece of cardboard, you can quickly build a slope on which the mice can race. Mark the start and finish with tape and organize a ski race with friends and family.

Mice are true fitness professionals – they can jump up to 30 cm high, which in mouse terms is like a human jumping over a house! Also, they have a sweet tooth and love chocolate more than cheese (who could blame them?). Their little hearts beat almost as fast as ours when we see spiders: a whopping 600 times per minute! And when they're not scurrying through the living room, they probably dream of ski vacations while sleeping – because mice, just like us humans, have little dreams.

1. Print out the template, cut it out, and trace the outlines onto a flattened toilet paper roll.
2. Cut out the body, arms, and ears from the toilet paper roll.
3. Paint the face, ears, and sweater. Glue pipe cleaner pieces to the edges of the sweater.
4. Glue the arms to the body and the ears to the head.
5. Glue craft sticks to the feet.
6. Slide cardboard circles onto craft sticks and glue them firmly. Attach the sticks to the inside of the hands with glue. Download the template
