For children, it’s most beautiful when everything is colorful and bright. There’s no right or wrong in combining colors; they simply create according to their imagination, without worrying whether two colors harmonize.

Age: From 4 years

Duration: 1 - 2 hours

Difficulty: Easy

For this project you need:

A child points to colorful paper parrots hanging on a wall. The homemade birds are decorated with colored feathers and paper wings.
Three colorful paper parrots hang on a white wall. The birds are designed with multi-colored paper wings and colorful feathers, creating a cheerful jungle decoration.

Beaming children's eyes

When children are allowed to do as much as possible themselves, they gain self-confidence and are proud of themselves in the end when they see what they have achieved all on their own.

Quality time crafting together

Crafting together creates valuable moments and strengthens the relationship between adults and children. For children, this is something very special. Such experiences remain unforgettable, and with the finished artworks, they will have a beautiful memory even later.

Step-by-step instructions

Step 4

For the feathered wings, first glue the wing onto the parrot's body. Then apply glue to it and attach the feathers.

Mit Bastelkleber werden bunte Federn auf einen Papagei aus Tonpapier geklebt. Der farbenfrohe Schwanz aus Papier und die leuchtenden Federn verleihen dem Vogel ein tropisches Aussehen.

Step 5

After everything is dry, finally draw the eyes on white paper. You can punch out these white dots with a hole punch.
